Plans submitted for new residential building in London Borough of Sutton
The apartment scheme will make a substantial contribution towards the regeneration of Sutton town centre
22 April 2020
The scheme, located at the northern end of Sutton High Street, will provide 41 apartments, ranging from studios to 3-bed homes, and two new community/commercial/retail units at ground floor.
Designed for BMR Group, the development maximises the potential of the existing site, currently occupied by a derelict office building. The building envelope follows the line of the surrounding streetscape, stepping back at its upper levels to create a series of terraces and balconies. At the core of our proposal is the intent to create a building that is of exceptional quality and offers significant enhancement to the public realm. The proposed design is being considered within both the published and developing ambitions for the London Borough of Sutton’s High Street area.
The tenure blind development also targets excellent affordable provision and high levels of sustainability.
We have worked collaboratively with our client and all local stakeholders to design a building that aspires to make a substantial contribution towards the regeneration of this continuously evolving part of London.”
