Roy Collado
Director RIBA, MBA, ARB, MRIAI

Roy qualified as an Architect in 1988 and immediately spent six months working in Berlin with Heinrich Baller, delivering social housing projects. He then joined Chetwood Associates, where he became a Board Director within five years, with responsibility for the London Office.
He has worked on a number of major projects, including integral work for Sainsbury’s, which was shortlisted for the Stirling Prize.
Running parallel to Roy’s architecture expertise, he has gained Master’s Degrees in Business and Property, ensuring his working methods bridge the gap between design and commerciality.
In 2000 he joined Hamilton Associates, a 250-strong Central London practice, as Director with responsibility for complex mixed-use projects. In 2004, Roy cofounded ColladoCollins with Jonathan Collins, in response to the growing need for a practice that comprehensively understood a project’s entire life cycle, from the financial planning to the design implementation. This dedication to balancing the varying pressures of major schemes has since become a cornerstone of the ColladoCollins methodology.
After successfully completing a number of major projects in West London, Roy currently works with Hammersmith and Fulham Council as a member of its Design Review Panel.
