The SHG brief seeks the demolition of the Kwik Fit repair garage and the
redevelopment of the site to provide for new commercial space and new residential
dwellings. ColladoCollins evolved the design throughout the consultation process which
resulted in the brief to address the following aspirations:
• The re-provision of high quality flexible workspace and retail to re engage with and
animate the site.
• Improvement to the frontage of the site addressing New Kent Road for pedestrians
• The provision of an active commercial ground floor on both New Kent Road and
Munton Road frontages.
• The provision of high quality homes and high provision of affordable housing
integrated into the development on site.
