Every few months as a practice we set out to visit inspiring architecture around London. As an ongoing programme, the walks give our team a chance to step away from the desk, experience buildings and spaces firsthand, and reflect on how design decisions play out over time, from materiality and public realm to the integration of heritage and new build.
These walks are about more than observation. They’re an opportunity to learn from projects that resonate with our own work, to spark new ideas, and to celebrate good architecture.

Recently our Architecture Walks have taken us to the new Serpentine Pavilion. This year the Serpentine Pavilion is designed by Mexican studio LANZA atelier. It is inspired by a “serpentine” or crinkle‑crankle brick wall, using curved forms to create stability and rhythm while allowing light and air to pass through the space, encouraging visitors to gather and connect.

Explore the many pavilions that have been designed over the years since the first by Zara Hadid Architects in 2000 below.
